The PADI Scuba Diver course is an introductory certification that is less intensive than an Open Water certification. With a Scuba Diver certification, you will be qualified to dive to 12 meters maximum depth under the direct supervision of a scuba diving professional. While most people choose to complete the full Open Water course as their first scuba diving certification, there are reasons you may consider the Scuba Diver course instead. Maybe you are limited on time, have no interest reaching depths past 12 meters, or always want the assurance of a professional guiding you. The Scuba Diver course lasts two days and consists of a mix of classroom theory, pool practice, and two open water dives. Upon completion, you will receive a certification card which is good for life.
